The Best Method to Break-In Your New Coils

Although arguably the most important part of any vape experience is still the vape juice, one of the most important parts about getting started with your new vape coil is making sure it's broken-in properly. There aren't many worse things than burning out a fresh coil when it comes to vaping. That's not the only thing you need to keep your eye on, though, so in today's blog, we'll try to cover each and every detail necessary for breaking in your newest vape coils. Without further ado, let's begin!

SubVista Coils
Once you get a new device, you'll first want to break-in the coils. Doing so is very easy, but it can be a bit tedious. Start by dripping a few drops of juice onto the coil that's inside the tank, not so much that it floods everywhere, but enough that the cotton begins to look wet on the inside. After that, drip a few drops into the slots on the outside of the coil as well - continue that process until those holes appear to have fully saturated cotton. From there, install the coil into your tank and fill the tank with your vape juice.

Let the tank sit that way for around 5 minutes, or until you think the coil has fully-saturated with the vape juice.

Now's the important part - actually breaking in the coil. Usually, there's a designation on the side of each coil that lets you know the wattage range that's most appropriate for that coil. In some cases, actually, companies provide a "Best at" range as well, which makes it even easier to find the "sweet spot" for your new coils. In order to start actually breaking the coil in, you'll want to start putting some power through those coils. However, do not start at the recommended wattage range! A good rule of thumb is to start using the coil between 10-15 watts below the low end of the recommended range.

Start by using the vape 4-5 times at that low wattage, and afterward letting it sit so it can re-saturate. From there, you can increase the wattage in 5-watt increments repeating the exact same process: 4-5 draws and letting it sit for 30 seconds or so.

Once you've reached the recommended wattage range, you'll notice that the temperature of the vape has increased drastically from when you first began breaking in the coil. From here, it's all about preference. Find the spot that works for you inside the recommended range, and stick with that.

Doing this will help to lengthen the life of your coils and will also help to make sure that your vape is great every time!
